Integral’s investment professionals, dispatched through the “i-Engine” management support function, contributed to the strategy development process. Based on this strategy, the company launched a “Sustainable Business Strategy Team”(later reorganized into the Carbon Neutrality Division) to implement these businesses in society, leveraging internal technical expertise and experience while collaborating with external partners to advance carbon-neutral business development.

They have identified materiality issues including “Climate change countermeasures and implementation of a recycling mentality” and “Creation of a rewarding work environment.” The company actively pursues initiatives such as GHG reduction, expansion of reuse products contributing to a circular economy, and implementation of engagement surveys. Integral’s seconded investment professionals have been involved in developing the basic sustainability policy and growth strategies for expanding pre-owned camera and other reuse products.

Valuing human connections, the company established a materiality identification project team in 2024, identifying key issues such as “customer commitment,” “creation of new value,” “human resource development,” “work-life balance,” and “environmentally conscious business activities.” Integral’s seconded investment professionals participated in the materiality identification process.

Integral’s seconded investment professionals have organized various working groups to implement management reforms. In terms of sustainability, they established a factory improvement working group focusing on enhancing working conditions across facilities. The company has contributed to improving employee working conditions and productivity by introducing new manufacturing processes to control dust generation—a long-standing challenge in chemical fertilizer plants—and developing and expanding facilities to prevent dust dispersion.
